What does a BTB challenge look like and what’s included?

Thank you for signing up for a Bin the Booze Challenge free trial. I’m Frances and I’ll be sharing some information in the next two lessons about how this all works. This challenge is not just about taking a break from your favourite tipple – it’s also about having the chance to reflect on your habits and goals and work towards a healthier and more fulfilling life. Our courses and support use coaching strategies and neuro-linguistic programming techniques which allow you to reflect on what’s happening in your life and set yourself new goals. We will also give you tips and techniques to help you make these new habits stick!

These two pages will give you an insight into how our challenges work and the core components of our daily lessons. What you can expect to get from our challenges is:

  • A chance to give your mind and body a rest from alcohol
  • A chance to reflect on your life goals and
  • More energy and clarity to move towards these goals
  • The chance to change your habits for a healthier lifestyle
  • A community of like-minded people
  • Some group coaching
  • Accountability

Our challenges include a daily email and link to a learning page like this one. Each page will include a daily inspiration message to get you thinking and moving forwards towards your goals and new life. We will have a short introduction to the subject for each day and we provide this information via video and text in case you have a preference for one or the other.

Time Expectations

The challenges are self-paced and should only take around 10 minutes each day to complete. We know you all have busy lives so the idea is to build in a short daily reflection time.

Resources and Activities

We will also include resources and optional activities in the form of downloadable PDFs and booklets for you, as accompanying materials. We have attached a couple of example resources to this lesson below which should give you an idea of the kind of content you can expect.

Optional Weekly Coaching and Check-in via Zoom

We want to connect with you and provide you with a support network during your challenge. This helps keep you accountable and on track as well as giving you tips and ideas to help you be successful in your challenge. These sessions are 30-minute Zoom calls, which we run as a coaching session, giving you time to reflect, set new goals and connect with others.

When people feel accountable and included, it is more fun.

Community Chat

Finally, we also include options for you to connect with other challenge participants via a range of channels, including a dedicated WhatsApp group and social media group. You can engage as much as you like with these groups, however, we find the successful graduates usually participate actively in these groups to learn from and support others.
