ABOUT US

I’m here to help you change your relationship with alcohol and make a positive difference to your life.

Over thirty years in education, together with coaching and psychology qualifications have equipped me with the skills to support colleagues through their own personal inquiries; a process of identifying and following their passions in order to learn and grow.

As I began to realise what impact positive psychology and neurolinguistic programming can have on wellbeing and quality of life, I wanted to share the skills and knowledge I have learned along the way to help other people change their relationship with alcohol and get the most out of their lives.

There is no expectation for you to give up alcohol permanently to take part in our challenges, even a 4-week break from alcohol has been scientifically proven to have many health benefits.  Ultimately, everyone’s journey is their own, but if you want to join a supportive, non-judgemental community to give you accountability and support, then sign up with us. We can help make taking a break from alcohol a really positive experience. We aim to shift your mindset from what you are missing to focus on what you will gain instead.

TUNE IN TO LIFE

MY JOURNEY

I became sober curious in 2016 after personal trauma. I felt overweight, unhealthy, and unhappy, and I needed to make some changes—starting with taking a break from alcohol.

I joined a fitness program, stopped drinking, and slowly turned my physical and mental health around. Since then, my relationship with alcohol has been on and off—periods of abstinence, followed by some social drinking.

After I lost my son in 2025, alcohol crept back in—not as a choice I wanted, but as a way to numb the pain. Eventually, I returned to sobriety. I’ve been alcohol-free for over a year, and in the last three years I’ve spent 75–80% of the time not drinking.

Will I ever have a glass of wine again? Honestly, I don’t believe so. Alcohol just isn’t part of the life I want anymore.

My decision didn’t happen overnight. It came through experience, research, and honest reflection. It’s also been a spiritual journey of self-exploration—learning what matters, what helps me feel present, and what I’m willing to build my days around.

I’ve had real personal breakthroughs. I realised many of my beliefs about alcohol were wrong: I can dance and chat without it, feel awkward in these situations is natural. I can have fun without booze, feelings and experiences are real. I remember conversations, and the best part is waking up with no hangover. I love starting each day feeling fresh, healthy, and clear-headed.

That said, this isn’t one-size-fits-all. Some people choose complete sobriety, others moderation, and many take time off to reassess now and then. If you’re not sure, consider a reset— even a short break can offer health benefits and help you review your relationship with alcohol from a clearer headspace, the way I did.
